2023 Men of Vision Sportsman's Banquet

The Men of Vision Men's Ministry of New Vision Fellowship is excited to host our 3rd annual Sportsman's Banquet!

Who's it for?

Our goal is to host an event that men will enjoy and be enriched by. We use the term Sportsman loosely - there will be many hunters, fishermen, and sports fans of all sorts. But men who don't do any of those should feel right at home as well. And we'll have some outdoor-loving ladies participating, too, which is fine by us!

When is it?

Saturday, September 23, 2023, 5pm - 9pm (includes dinner and wild game tasting). The program will begin at 6, but we'll have registration and wild game appetizers starting at 5.

What's it all about?

Men. Meat. Give-aways. Worshiping Jesus. Need we say more?

Our Keynote Speaker

Marty_and_Lori.jpg Pastor Marty Jacumin grew up hunting quail, rabbits and raccoons in the foothills of North Carolina. While he didn't come from a hunting family, he was blessed to find a hunting mentor when he was in the 7th grade and he still hunts with that mentor today.

In college Marty's hunting expanded to ducks, deer and turkey through the influence of friends. This led him to Labrador Retrievers and he's had one since 1987.

In 2010, Marty was able to take a world class Black Bear that made the All Time Boone and Crockett Record Book.

The thing he most enjoys about the outdoors is being with family and friends. Whether hunting ducks and quail with his grandson, trying for the turkey world slam with his son or fishing with his best friend (his wife Lori), this is what most excites him as a sportsman.

He and Lori have five children - Morgan, her husband Brandon, Jarret, his wife Tory, and Sarah Beth, who is a student at Appalachian State University. They have also been blessed with two grandchildren.

Marty serves as a Church Mobilization Strategist for the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. He and Lori serve together at Trajectory Ministries, which they began in 2021, ministering to churches and pastors in crisis or transition.

Most recently, Marty served as the Interim Pastor of Denver Baptist Church in Denver, NC. He has also served as Senior Pastor at Bayleaf Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC and First Baptist Cary in Cary, NC.

Pastor Marty holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

What's the cost?

The cost of this conference is $15 per participant, which includes a hearty meal with some wild game and an entry to a great give-away of prizes donated by local businesses. To register, use the “Register“ button on this page. You will need a debit or credit card, and you can process your payment safely and securely directly from our website.
